Energy saving thermal insulation material aerogel

Time:2020-06-23

Aerogel as a new solid material for nanoporous structural materials is characterized by ultra light, heat insulation, transparency, heat preservation and fire prevention. Aerogels have a huge market in the field of energy conservation. They are important parts of the future thermal insulation field. However, due to the fact that the technology field has not yet been completely broken, the application in the application fields such as energy-saving doors and windows, pipeline insulation, wall insulation, thermal insulation coatings, concrete additives and so on is still in the initial attempt, but its development potential will pry the 100 billion market.

Let's take stock of aerogel applications at home and abroad.

1, aerogel particles are mainly hydrophobic and hydrophilic, which are less than 1 micron particles. This method is relatively simple and has the possibility of industrialization. The thermal conductivity is about 0.009-0.012, and the density is about 30-100KG/ cubic. The specific surface area can reach 600 m2 / g.

2, aerogel felt

The combination of aerogels and fiber reinforced composites successfully solved a series of problems, such as low mechanical strength, easy crushing and poor heat insulation.

3, aerogel glass

Aerogel glass has good thermal insulation and heat insulation properties. It is widely used in energy-saving doors and windows. However, aerogels have low tensile strength and avoid direct collision. Currently aerogels are mainly used in aerogel coated glass panels or vacuum insulation interlayers.

4. Application of aerogels in building pipelines

Aerogels, such as thermal insulation and hydrophobicity, are ideal insulation materials for pipes. In addition, aerogels are inorganic thermal insulation materials. The average energy consumption per kilometre of high temperature steam pipes in the use of 8A can be saved by tens of millions of yuan.

5, the use of aerogels in wallboards and roofs.

The thermal conductivity of aerogels is 1/3 of the polystyrene board, far lower than other building insulation materials. At the same time, aerogels are inorganic insulation materials of A1 grade, and the density of aerogels is lower than 100KG/m3, which is convenient for construction and reduces the weight of the whole building.

6, application of aerogels in coatings

Compared with its heat preservation effect, air temperature has the function of supplementary heat preservation. It can not only be used for the heat preservation of external walls, but also for the heat preservation of the bottom of buildings. At the same time, inorganic silicon industry is a good waterproof and anticorrosive material.

7, aerogels as additives for concrete.

When aerogels are added to concrete, the thermal conductivity of concrete will gradually decrease with the addition of aerogels. However, because the main components of aerogels are silica, high strength silicate elements will be formed under alkaline conditions, which will not only reduce thermal conductivity, but also increase the strength and toughness.
